Connersville at the Dean Stoltz Invite

Unedited recap from Connersville’s Jeff Cooley- The Co-Ed track and field teams competed at the Dean Stoltz Invitational on Saturday. The girls placed 11th and the boys were 9th. Top performers for the girls were the 4×200(Sudhoff Crank Sariano Seeley) 8th Molly Crank was 8th in the 300 hurdles. Kaytlyn Seeley was 6th in the 200. The 4×400 team (Crank Sembach Seeley Kleve) was 8th Brooke Sudhoff was 4th in the pole vault.

On the boys side top placers were Conner Greenwell in the steeple chase 6th.Evan Shafer won the 110 hurdles. Carter DeBoard was 3rd in the 100. Rudy Branstetter was 6th in the 100.The boys 4×100 (Reibsomer Walker Branstetter Deboard) were 7th.Carter DeBoard was 8th in the 400.In the 300 hurdles Evan Shafer was 4th and Parker Sweet was 8th. Andrew Isaacs was 4th in the 800. Rudy Branstetter was 6th and Carter DeBoard 7th in the 200.

Greensburg at Brown County Talon Relays

Unedited recap from Greensburg’s Katina Tekulve-  The Lady Pirates traveled to Nashville Saturday morning to compete in the Brown County Talon Relays. The Greensburg girls placed 4th overall in the 7 team relay scored event. Despite the very wet conditions the Lady Pirates competed very well.

One of the biggest moments of the day came from the fastest female distance runner in Greensburg history. Brenner Hanna broke her own previous school record of 11:23.09 and won the open 3200m race by over a :40s margin. Hanna’s new school record of 10:57.92 crowned her the 2021 Brown County Talon Relay 3200m Champion.

Other big performances came from the Lady throwers. Runner Up Champion duo of Emarie Jackson and Shayelyn Hess threw a combined 175′ 5″ in discus to earn second in the relay event. The 4 x 100 Relay team of Hilary Ernstes, Emily Million, Reyna Wilson, and Kayla Haycock placed 3rd with their speedy performance.

3200m Relay – Malana Kramer, Brenner Hanna, Emma Wilmer, Ally Foster
Shot Put Duo – Emarie Jackson & Shayelyn Hess

5th Place
1600m Relay – Kayla Haycock, Ava Wilmer, Franchesca Verzo, and Hilary Ernstes
