Franklin County Senior Profile- Audrey Reister

With the cancellation of the spring sports season, 12th grade spring sports athletes will not get to have their Senior Night.  We wanted to give those athletes a chance to share their Senior Night profiles typically read at such events.  While this can never replace Senior Night itself, at least we can help celebrate our local seniors by sharing their information with you.

Any spring sports senior who would like to have their Senior Night profile shared, please email it to bryce@seilocalsports.com and we will publish it under their spring sport.

Audrey Reister- Franklin County Girls Track

Parents– Eric and Tina Reister

Sports and other activities at FCHS- Track and Field, volleyball, Bleacher Bums, 4H, Junior Leaders, FBLA, Key Club and National Honor Society.

Post graduation plans- Attend Northern Kentucky University to study exercise science and eventually become a pediatric physical therapist.

Favorite track memory- It would have to be making a relationship with my teammates and coaches. Also, cheering on my team and bringing home wins.

What will be missed most from the season being cancelled-  I’m going to miss making memories with my team and breaking records.

Thank yous-  I would like to thank my family and friends for believing in me, my teammates for pushing me to do better, and coach Davidson for talking me into track my sophomore year and believing in me and my teammates.

A message from FCHS track coach Joe Davidson- Audrey’s sophomore year, we noticed she was always ready.  If we needed a sub in a relay or individual event, she would step in and thrive.  We came up with an award for her called the Semper Paratus which is Latin for “always ready’” (used in the military). We still give this award out to athletes.  Audrey showed us the value of having an athlete who prepared, acted and, ultimately, performed with confidence even if they weren’t varsity right away.  Last year, Audrey helped rewrite the FC record books by being part of the school record-breaking 4x100m team and upset the favorites to win the EIAC championship.  It proved once again if you step-up as a sub enough times, eventually a coach will count on you on a varsity team.  In this case, not only did we count on her, she was part of the best 4x100m race in school history.
