Franklin County Senior Profile- Kyle Seibert

With the cancellation of the spring sports season, 12th grade spring sports athletes will not get to have their Senior Night.  We wanted to give those athletes a chance to share their Senior Night profiles typically read at such events.  While this can never replace Senior Night itself, at least we can help celebrate our local seniors by sharing their information with you.

Any spring sports senior who would like to have their Senior Night profile shared, please email it to bryce@seilocalsports.com and we will publish it under their spring sport.

Kyle Seibert- Franklin County Boys Track

Parent– Michelle and Scott Seibert

Sports and other activities at FCHS- Track and Field plus a lot of different clubs and activities including cross country, student council and I am the senior class president.

Post graduation plans- Pursue a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics at Indiana University.  After my undergrad, I plan on serving in the Peace Corps and purse my JD degree so I can practice law later in life.

Favorite track memory- My favorite part of cross country and track was always finishing a race you knew you gave 110% on.  It always felt great to set ambitious goals and keep getting better to beat those goals.  I hope I can take this same mentality and apply it to other parts of my life.

What will be missed the most from the season being cancelled-  While I am going to miss competing against other runners and working to make myself a better runner and an athlete, I am going to miss my team the most. I always enjoyed hanging out with everyone and supporting one another in our races and events.

Thank yous-  I would like to thank all of my coaches- coach Nobbe, coach Davidson and coach Rauch- who always believed in me and pushed me to set big goals and achieve big things. I’d like to thank my teammates who made the last few years fun and memorable. Finally, I’d also like to thank my parents who always support me in everything I do and are always my biggest cheerleaders.

A message from FCHS track coach Joe Davidson- Kyle might be the best coach on the Franklin County team.  His leadership and knowledge of the sport goes way beyond the expectation.  He’s led practices, fundraisers and team builders.  I am so honored to have coached Kyle.  His contributions to this team and to this school may not ever be matched again.  I am going to miss Kyle’s ideas and can-do attitude.  He was about to break out this track season and really score big points for us.  Now I look forward to him breaking out into his post-high school life.  His possibilities are endless!
