Franklin County Senior Profile- Emmy Dehner

With the cancellation of the spring sports season, 12th grade spring sports athletes will not get to have their Senior Night.  We wanted to give those athletes a chance to share their Senior Night profiles typically read at such events.  While this can never replace Senior Night itself, at least we can help celebrate our local seniors by sharing their information with you.

Any spring sports senior who would like to have their Senior Night profile shared, please email it to and we will publish it under their spring sport.

Favorite track memory- It would have to be walking out to the field and getting to have fun and throw with all my friends. Throughout the years, we have all worked hard as a team, have encouraged each other to get better and set PRs.

What will be missed most from the season being cancelled- This would have been my eighth year in track. Throughout the years, I grew to love the sport and all my teammates. Track was that one thing for me I always looked forward to and always genuinely enjoyed being apart of. I gained many lifelong friends and memories. I wanted this season to end with a bang. I wanted to get that last throw, I wanted to work hard to set my final PRs I could remember for the rest of my life, and I wanted those last moments with my friends before we all went off to college. I always thought I would have more time I could always get better.  That senior year was so far away. I never imagined it would be gone so quickly. I am so thankful for the little season t I did have, I just wish I would have gotten a chance to show myself and to say one last goodbye.

Thank yous- Throughout the years, I have had many different coaches and teammates, and I just want to say thank you to all of them who made me love the sport. I never knew how much track could mean to me. It wasn’t just a spring sport for me. It was something I looked forward to throughout the year, and it positively impacted my life. I gained memories through track I will always carry with me and friends I can always depend on. I want to thank my parents for being there through all the years from picking me up from practices, to taking the long haul to the away meets and supporting me throughout everything. Track will forever have a place in my heart, and I want to thank everyone who made that possible.

A message from FCHS track coach Joe Davidson- Emmy has gotten the most out of her high school career. She has always been so involved in everything and I think she has been a great role model!
