Edited recap from Franklin County’s Alex McCool- The Wildcats used another great pitching performance and a great team effort at the plate to defeat the Northeastern Knights 7-0.

After a 1-1/2 hour lightning delay, the Wildcats started the game by working around a lead-off double to hold the Knights scoreless. Then Franklin County posted two runs in the bottom of the first to take the lead and never looked back. The Wildcats scored three runs in the fourth and then padded their lead in the sixth with two more runs which proved to be plenty of run support for KK Ferman.

Ferman threw her second consecutive two-hit shutout and kept the Knight hitters off balance. She finished with 14 strikeouts and earned her second win of the young season.
