Franklin County Senior Profile- Sarah Bare

With the cancellation of the spring sports season, 12th grade spring sports athletes will not get to have their Senior Night.  We wanted to give those athletes a chance to share their Senior Night profiles typically read at such events.  While this can never replace Senior Night itself, at least we can help celebrate our local seniors by sharing their information with you.

Any spring sports senior who would like to have their Senior Night profile shared, please email it to bryce@seilocalsports.com and we will publish it under their spring sport.

Sarah Bare- Franklin County Softball

Parents– Amy and Tracy Bare

Sports and other activities at FCHS- Softball, Bleacher Bums and MCATZ. I also attended Whitewater Career Center in the Health Science program and I was a HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) leader.

Post graduation plans– I plan working in Brookville as a CNA while I go to school to get my Bachelors degree for my registered nurse licenses.

Favorite softball memory- My favorite moment from softball was when we were at a tournament in Blackford.  It was freezing rain and super windy.  The whole time we were there, we were the loudest team cheering each other on. That is why I love my team so much.

What will be missed most from the season being cancelled-  What I am going to miss the most about softball is my team and the coaching staff. They were all so supportive and we all never gave up on each other. And, yes, I am going to miss the bus singing to and from the games and the dugout cheers and screaming.

Thank yous-  I want to thank the coaching staff, because you guys never gave up on us and pushed us because you saw the potential in us. You didn’t just teach us about the sport but you also taught us about life. I want to thank the girls on my team from the past four years. Every year, they showed amazing teamwork and always kept everyone positive. Most importantly, I want to thank my parents for all they have done for me, for all the love and support and sitting in the hot sun and the freezing rain. You were always there for me no matter what.

A message from FCHS softball coach Alex McCool- Sarah has been a hard worker in her four years in the program.  She has improved a lot since her freshman year and will always listen and try to improve anything you tell her about softball.  Her hard work did not go unnoticed and she will be missed.
