The Saints wasted little time getting the scoring started.  Leadoff batter Gabby Moore legged out a bunt single to open the game.  Kayla Dillinger sacrificed Moore into scoring position to bring up Kaylee Gregory.  Gregory singled to center. Shiner center fielder Shelby Stogsdill fielded the ball cleanly and fired to the plate.  Moore slid in just ahead of the tag to put the Saints on the board.

Indy Lutheran added on in the top of the 3rd, ignited by Moore.  She led off with a single and advanced to 3rd on a Shiner error on the play.  Dillinger followed and grounded to 3rd. Moore broke on the throw to first and slid headfirst across the plate just ahead of the throw to make it 2-0 Saints.  Gregory followed by tripling off the wall in right. She scored on a sacrifice fly by Miranda Dunn to put the visitors up 3-0.

After being shut out for the 1st 2 innings, Rising Sun got on the board in the bottom of the 3rd.  With one out, Emma Levi doubled for the first Shiner hit of the game. Sydney Pitts followed and hit a 2-2 pitch out to left to bring the Shiners within a run at 3-2.

That was the score when the Saints came to bat in the top of the 5th.  Kerri Selzer led the inning off with a single. She moved to 2nd on a groundout by Moore, advancing to 3rd on a Shiner error.  Dillinger pounded the ball into the ground, allowing Selzer to score to make it 4-2. The visitors would score 4 more times in the inning as they next 5 batters reached safely.  Gregory hit her 2nd triple of the game, Dunn followed with a double, followed by singles by Rylee Morris, Quinn Johnson, and Emily Streib. It was now 8-2 Saints.

Rising Sun got 2 of those runs back in the bottom of the 5th.  With one out, Kassidy Romans tripled. Lindsay Montgomery hit a 1-0 pitch out to left for a 2-run bomb to make it an 8-4 game.  The Saints went to the bullpen, bringing in Miranda Dunn. Sydney Bostic greeted her with a double but Dunn got out of the inning unscathed.

In the top of the 6th, Moore again ignited the Saints offense when she led the inning off with a triple to center.  Dillinger brought her home with a ground out. Dillinger was the only Saint batter not to reach base safely but led the team with 3 runs batted in for the game.
