Unedited game notes from South Dearborn coach Eggleston:

The Lady Knights traveled to Rushville Consolidated on Saturday for a doubleheader. Graci Cornett started the first game and held Rushville to only 2 runs with 6 hits. The Knights had a total of 12 hits and only committed one error. Graci Cornett hit a 2 run home run and Cameron Hoskins went 2 for 4 at the plate. Graci Cornett also went 2 for 4 at the plate and Jessi Mathews went 3 for 4. The Lady Knights held Rushville to only 2 runs, which ended in an 8-2 win.
In the second game, Olivia Nagel started pitching for the Knights, followed by Alley Lunsford. Alley Lunsford only gave up 4 hits and 2 earned runs. The Knights had a total of 9 hits the second game. The Knights fell early to Rushville, being down 3-0 in the first inning. In the fourth inning, the Knights rallied back, tying the game 3-3. Jessi Mathews had a key hit and gave the Knights a 4-3 lead. In the top of the 7th, Rushville went ahead 5-4 against the Knights. In the bottom of the 7th, Maddie Lewis started off with a hit. Abby Hensley and Alley Lunsford followed with two hits. With bases loaded and one out, the Knights scored 2 runs off of a passed ball, giving the Lady Knights a victory. The final score was 6-5 with the Knights adding another win.
