East Central 3, Lawrenceburg 2 (home)

Edited recap from East Central Tennis via Twitter- Winners were 1st singles Heidi Kane, 2nd singles Payton Pies and the 2nd doubles team of Avery Daniels and Lacey Kelly.

Edited recap from Lawrenceburg’s Alisa McMullen- The Lady Tigers lost a close first match of the season to EC 3-2.

No. 1 doubles of Lola Safaviyan and Calli Pope picked up our first point winning in 2 sets 7-5, 6-0 and Evelyn McAndrew brought in the second point with a 3-set victory 6-1, 5-7, 6-1.  The losses we were dealt did not come without a lot of fight from Elle McMullen at 1st singles, Ella McAndrew filling in at 2nd singles and Jasmyn Blackburn and Grace Schmidt at 2nd doubles.

Having our number two player out right now definitely had an impact on the outcome.  Once we have everyone back, I’m very confident we will come away with a lot of victories this season.

We thank everyone who contributed to the recaps.
