GB 3-0 at half.

Edited recap from Greensburg coach Ryan Morlan- Greensburg started their season strong, traveling to face Knightstown Saturday.

With only six minutes off the clock, Greensburg junior Macey Smith, a captain, started her streak of goals. The first netter was set up by a stop at the half by senior Emily Million leading to Smith’s charge down field.

Our second goal was set up with a stop and return from freshman Genevieve Smith. The ball traveled around the offense with some passing combinations and was settled at Macey Smith’s feet for her second goal.

Junior Natelie Kalinoski was the next to place a shot in the net. Her first goal of the season was set up by a corner kick. This goal led the Pirates into the half 3-0.

The Pirates picked things back up in the second half where they left off. Genevieve Smith kicked back another Panther charge to senior Kylie Hostetler who secured her first career varsity goal.

With help from the defense and her teammates’ passing skills, Macey Smith completed a hat trick then scored a fourth goal to help secure the 6-0 win.

The Lady Pirates looked very good between the communication, passing and the ability to move the ball around the field. Senior keeper Ella Lowe, a captain, only had 3 saves.

This year’s team is led by captains Ella Lowe (senior), Mykenzi Morlan (senior), Macey Smith (junior), Emilee Ernstes (junior), head coach Ryan Morlan and assistant coach Kasey Moeller.
