Connersville 1, Richmond 0 (home) (CO 1-0 at half)

Edited match report from Connersville coach Jeff Cooley: Molly Crank scored the Spartan goal. Eden Judd made 3 saves and earned a shutout. The varsity team is now 4-0.

(JV) Connersville 3, Richmond 2

Connersville JV scoring included Emily Price, Karly Lanre and Harlee Dunaway. Abby Schwartz was the winning goalie.

Switzerland County 3 (home), Scottsburg 0

Edited match report from Switzerland County coach Courtney Dayadharum: Strong defense led be the Pacers mids and defensive backs. Archer scored in the first half of the game.  Higgins connected off of a corner kick by Kappes and then Kappes was assisted by Archer for a goal.

Greensburg 2, South Ripley 1 (home) (0-0 at half)

Edited match report from Greensburg coach Ryan Morlan: The Lady Pirates found themselves tied at the half and looking to score. In the second half, Greensburg’s Emily Rosales struck first bringing the score to 1-0. The Raiders were quick to answer and tied the match. It was sophomore Macey Smith’s goal in the last minute that pushed the Pirates in for the win. This was Smith’s first high school career goal. This 2-1 win brings the Lady Pirates record to 4-2.

Rosales now has 8 points for the season. Five additional Pirates took shots but none found the scoreboard. Greensburg’s defender Hilary Ernstes had four saves on goal to help out Keeper Ella Lowe. Lowe handled nine shots, only allowing one to get past her.

East Central 2 (home), Hamilton, OH 2 (EC 2-1 at half)

Edited match report from East Central coach Bill Volker: Hamilton struck first with a goal around the 10-minute mark, taking the lead 1-0. A few minutes later, EC keeper Ashlyn Blankenship came up with a big save to keep the deficit at one. With 26 minutes left in the half, East Central answered when Lexi Watkins scored on a ball played through by Olivia Hopper. EC scored again in the first half with a Kendal Fox goal off a nice cross by Payge Callahan. At the half, EC maintained a 2-1 lead.

The second half was a battle back and forth. Trojan keeper Mary Brewington provided another solid save keeping the score at 2-1 for much of the half. With 3 minutes left on the clock, Hamilton was able to score the equalizer, bringing the score to a 2-2 final.  The Lady Trojans are 4-0-1.
