Coach Eric Feller’s OA crew scored the first points of the game without their offense ever taking the field when Pros Moorman returned the opening kickoff 79 yards to pay dirt.  Dominic McFee ran in a 2-point conversion as Oldenburg led 8-0 just 12 seconds into the contest.

Following a Pacer 3-and-out on their first series, Oldenburg scored with its offense on a 6-play, 55-yard drive.  Tyler Oesterling took in the rock from six yards out.  Caleb Lehmen picked up 2-points on the conversion run which stretched the visitor’s lead to 16-0 at the 7:30 mark of the opening quarter.

Another quick stop by the Twister defense helped set up a shorter scoring drive next.  Oldenburg went 45 yards in five plays with a Rhett Martin to Abe Streator 28-yard pass play capping the series.  Oesterling added a deuce on the conversion run to up the OA advantage to 24-0 with 2:38 left in the first frame.

Coach Ryan Jesop’s Pacers finally picked up a first down on its next series, but the drive was later halted on a sack by Mark Wolfe.  However, Switzerland County’s defense came to life forcing two drive stoppers in the second stanza to keep the spread 24-nothing at intermission.

Oldenburg’s offense got back on the scoring track on each of its next two possessions.  The first was the longest drive of the night spanning 12 plays.  The final call was an 18-yard TD trot by McFee.  Martin rushed for a 2-pointer and that made it 32-0 with 4:44 showing in the third.

The second and final scoring drive of the night was six plays and 63 yards.  Lehman rumbled in from the 15.  The two-point try was missed.  The 38-0 score posted just six seconds into the fourth quarter remained unchanged for the rest of the contest.
