Batesville snapped a four-game losing streak on the final night of the football regular season posting a 42-13 home victory over Connersville.

Bulldog quarterback Travis Lecher had four touchdowns.  He rushed for two on seven carries for 105 yards and passed for two more on 7 of 12 attempts for 193 yards.

Also for BHS, Austin Pohman ran for two scores with 177 ground yards and 18 totes.  He also made to receptions for 59.  Charlie Dice was on the receiving end of both Lecher scoring strikes.  Dice caught four balls in all for 124 yards.

Defensively for the Dogs, Brayden Linkle had 12 total tackles, two tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks and a fumble recovery.

Connersville touchdowns came on pass plays: Adam Kelly to Gavin Lynch for 70 yards in the first quarter and Jayden Murray to Evan Shafer for 20 yards in the fourth quarter.

In the first round of tournament play on Friday, October 25, Batesville (3-6) travels to Rushville in Sectional 31 while Connersville (0-9) returns home to meet Mt. Vernon (Fortville) in Sectional 21.
