Cross Country Recaps for Thursday, September 17

Cross Country Recaps from Thursday, September 17

Lawrenceburg at Franklin County (dual meet)

Edited report from Franklin County coach Stacey Nobbe: Junior Harmon Marshall won and led the entire race. Junior, Hunter Marshall started the race in third place but moved into second about one and a half miles in. He held onto second and finished just one second behind Harmon. Junior, Adam Grant placed fourth and junior Eric Schwab finished sixth. He fell to seventh at the halfway point but held on and regained his sixth-place spot. Even though the Franklin County boys gave an exceptional performance, they did not win because they did not compete as a full team.

The Lady Wildcats did very well against Lawrenceburg. Junior Josie Selm placed second with one of her best times on the home course. Sophomore Kenzie Rogers finished in fourth. Sophomore Kayla Baker gave a solid performance placing fifth. Neither Lawrenceburg nor Franklin County fielded a full team.

We thank everyone from each school who contributed to the recaps.
