South Dearborn competes at Madison’s Hokem Karem

Edited meet report from South Dearborn coach Jeremy Baney:

South Dearborn Cross Country traveled to Madison High School to compete in the seven-school, Lou Knoble Hokem Karem. Runners from each school were grouped into pairs. Each runner took turns running the same one mile loop three times.

Out of 12 pairs, the South Dearborn senior duo of Ella Bashor and Rachel Rohe placed fifth and the pair of Emily Rector and Grayce Klayer placed ninth. Amanda Mathews placed second in the Open 3K portion of the meet.

The boys competition involved 23 two-man teams. The top SD squad was the freshman pair of Nolan McLane and Owen Deamron in 12th followed by Matt Deamron and Brayson Craig in 13th.  Ben Cassini and Andy Deamron were 21st.
