There may be updates, so please check back.

Connersville 8, Greensburg 1 (home)

Edited Connersville recap from coach Mike Bottomley: Connersville snapped a three game losing streak by defeating Greensburg 8-1. Jasper Martin led the Spartans with three goals. Dylan Thomas, Ryan Naylor and Mitchell Steele all had a goal. Cody Naylor had a goal and two assists. Nathan Reynolds had a goal and an assist while Nolan Shawl had two assists.  Keeper Tyler Garrett gave up 1 goal with 10 saves.  The Spartans are now 8-6.

Greensburg’s Mike Myers reported via Twitter, John Robbins scored the only goal for the Pirates.

Oldenburg 1, Seton Catholic 0 (home)

Edited Oldenburg recap from coach Kenny Getz: After a fast start we seemed to fizzle out as we struggled to contact three passes in a row and sometimes two. At times we were to slow on our decision making. It’s not always the person with the ball at fault but the players around him not talking and getting in the right position to receive the pass. Other times we weren’t patient enough as we gave the ball right back to Seton. We have to be able to do more with eight corners.

Defensively, we got our first shutout of the year and keeper Alex Matacia got his first career shutout in goal.

Scoring and stats from OA assistant coach Mike Wilhelm: Aaron Schneider scored in period 1 at 39:40, just 20 seconds into the match, assisted on a cross by Thomas Lohmueller. This is one of the fastest goals scored by the Twisters.

The Twisters had 13 shots with 7 on goal, 4 off-sides, 10 fouls, 8 corners, 2 hand balls and Alex Matacia had 2 saves.

The Seton Cardinals had 5 shots with 2 on goal, 3 fouls, 1 corner, and their keeper had 6 saves.

More recaps follow.
