Richmond 168 (home), Connersville 178
at Elks Country Club

Edited recap from Connersville’s Jeff Martin- The Spartans faced a young but tough Richmond team and fell to the host Red Devils 178-168 at Elks Country Club. We have had a lot of matches the past couple weeks and have not had a lot of practice time.  That caught up with us.  Overall, putting hurt us. We had way too many three putts and even a couple four putts. Those can add up the score quickly and we are capable of shooting a much lower score.

Senior Jonah Graham finished with 37, tied for the lowest score. Graham won low-medalist honors after winning a chip off against Richmond’s number one golfer. Cooper Kinney shot 42, Will Chalker 49 and, bringing in his lowest score of the season, senior Cole Martin finished with 50. Also scoring for the Spartans were Dylan Thomas with 51 and Gavin Frank with 55.

In a JV match, the Spartans lost to the Red Devils 204-227. The freshmen four were led by Nate Garrison with 56. He was followed by Kaleb Caldwell with 59, Sam Newman 62 and Jackson Jones 65.
