Coach PJ Metz’s Chargers have had their struggles this season.  But after losing seven straight, North had won two of their last four and one of the losses was by only one point.

The Chargers jumped out to an 8-2 lead against the Indians thanks in part to a couple of 3-point shots from Trent Gauck and Carson Parmer.  But Milan’s defense tightened, North’s shooting started to chill and the Indians got things rolling offensively.

Milan closed the opening quarter on a 16-1 run to lead 18-9.  Josh Clark headed the offensive flurry by dropping in three trifectas for nine points.

The Indians outscored the Chargers 17-5 in the second stanza to hold a 35-14 advantage at halftime.  Clark dialed up two more long distance dedications while teammates Carsyn Ascherman and Adam Norman bucketed a pair of field goals each.  Lance Nobbe accounted for all five quarter points for the Chargers.

Milan opened the second half with 10 unanswered points and went on to stretch its lead to 54-20 by the end of the third.  Norman and Peyton Wert each put in five points for the hosts and Clark connected on his sixth bomb of the evening.  ND’s six points in the period were distributed evenly between Gauck, Nobbe and Andrew Tielking.
