(webcast) Lawrenceburg 50, Switzerland Co. 41- Rivertown Consolation

Aurora- Saturday’s Rivertown boys consolation game saw Lawrenceburg defeat Switzerland County 50-41.

This game was part of our St. Elizabeth Dearborn Basketball Webcast Schedule and can be seen again in HD by clicking here.

There were four lead changes in the first half.  After the Tigers held a 15-12 advantage at the end of the first quarter, coach Travis Wrightsman’s Pacers took their last lead, 19-17, in the second.  But LHS scored six of the next eight points and, again, enjoyed a 3-point lead at the half, 23-20.

Coach Brad Cutter’s Tigers never trailed during the final 16 minutes.  The Burg was up 34-27 with a quarter to go.  While Switz scored the first five points of the fourth to draw within two, Lawrenceburg steadily stretched the spread out again and eventually won by nine, 50-41.

Maybe the most notable team stat of the game was points inside the lane where the Tigers outscored the Pacers 36-22.

Our Southeastern Indiana REMC Power Players of the Game were Lawrenceburg’s Ashton Craig and Jackson Bobo.  Craig scored a team-high 17 points plus grabbed four rebounds.  Bobo booked a double double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. He also logged two assists and two steals.

Tiger teammate Dahya Patel put up 11 points.  Switzerland County’s Bryce Wrightsman netted a game-best 18 points plus four assists.

All four players mentioned were selected to the All-Tournament team.  They were joined by South Dearborn’s Eli Hoffman (MVP), Reese Willoughby, Tobie Teke and Quentin Stevens along with Rising Sun’s Landon Cole.
