JAC-CEN-DEL ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Kadee Kuhn of Jac-Cen-Del

  • Level/Sport: Varsity Girls Basketball
  • Athlete’s year/position: Junior Guard
  • Submitted by: Scott Smith
  • Submitter’s position: Head Coach
  • Athlete’s accomplishments: After a slow start to the season, Kadee broke out last week, dcoring 14 points in win vs. Milan and 9 in win over Oldenburg.  She shot over 50% from the field which included four 3-pointers.
  • Submitter’s personal comments: Kadee is also our best defender.

Dillan Hughes of Jac-Cen-Del

  • Level/Sport: Varsity Girls Basketball
  • Athlete’s year/position: Junior Guard
  • Submitted by: Scott Smith
  • Submitter’s position: Head Coach
  • Athlete’s accomplishments: Dillan gave us great minutes off the bench last week. She recorded 9 steals and numerous deflections in two games to go along with her 6 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.
  • Submitter’s personal comments: After returning from a year layoff, Dillan is making great progress!

Emma Newhart of Jac-Cen-Del

  • Level/Sport: JV Girls Basketball
  • Athlete’s year/position: Sophomore Forward
  • Submitted by: Scott Smith and Lisa Horn
  • Submitter’s position: Head Coach and JV Coach
  • Athlete’s accomplishments: Emma had a great game vs. Oldenburg scoring a season high 10 points plus 5 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists.
  • Submitter’s personal comments: (Coach Smith) Emma is making the transition from a post to a perimeter player. She is a great contributor in both JV and varsity. (Coach Horn) Emma did all the little things to go along with those stats.  She had learned to become a versitle player either playing post or taking care of the ball.  Emma works hard in practice and it really shows in her game play.

Kaytlin Sizemore of Jac-Cen-Del

  • Level/Sport: JV Girls Basketball
  • Athlete’s year/position: Junior Guard
  • Submitted by: Lisa Horn
  • Submitter’s position: JV Coach
  • Athlete’s accomplishments: In our Milan game, Kaytlin really came alive. She had 6 points, 5 assists, 3 steals and 2 rebounds.
  • Submitter’s personal comments: Kaytlin has become the leader of the JV team.  She has taken on a different role this year becoming the general and running our offense.
