Batesville’s Jody Thomas- “In the last EIAC match of the season, the Dogs never got aggressive in anything we did for the first set.  Set two started more aggressive, we were even up 8-3, until a few unforced errors seemed to make us question our abilities.  We flat out gave up too many opportunities to be effective against the Tigers who were serving strong, attacking seams and avoiding our big middle.  Set three was our team again.  We pressured the Tigers with service, attacked high hands and deep court against their block, and were digging in their hitting lanes.  But a few plays of indecisiveness lead us to an eventual loss.”

JV Match

Lawrenceburg JV 2, Batesville 0: 25-11, 25-13

Lawrenceburg’s JV finishes the season undefeated (23-0).

  • Digs- Lydia Armstrong 10, Safaviyan 10
  • Assists- Hinkle 16

Batesville’s Shelly Prickel- “The JV Lady Bulldogs had an uncharacteristic showing in which they struggled to find the court in all facets of the game. They fell to a strong serving Lawrenceburg team. Grace Sarringhaus earned 4 kills and Kerigan Haskamp picked up a kill while going perfect on all 5 of her hit attempts.”

We thank Lawrenceburg coach Staci Knigga and Batesville coaches Jody Thomas and Shelly Prickel for the match reports.
