Henryville 3, Southwestern 1; JV Rebels 2-1

Varsity Volleyball- Thursday, October 4

Henryville 3, Southwestern 1: 25-18, 19-25, 27-25, 25-17

Southwestern stat leaders:

Kassey Worcester- 10 kills
Kiah Fink- 6 kills, 8 blocks
Abby Ralston- 6 kills, 2 aces (17/17), 15 assists, 9 digs
Kiah Means- 5 aces, 21 digs
Marissa Naylor and Keely Fink- 5 kills each

Southwestern’s Chris Johnson- “Tough loss against a Henryville team that played a great game. They were fired up to play and we gave them a good battle, but after we gave away the third set we lost all momentum. We had 4 set points in the third and ended up losing it. If we had finished it off, things would have turned out differently I think.”

“Kiah Means was a total machine in the back row. She kept nearly everything off the floor and gave absolutely everything she had. Kiah Fink had some trouble offensively but made up for it with some big blocking up front, scoring on 8 defensive blocks. Kassey Worcester led our offense and had some nice swings from the left side.”

“Southwestern finishes the regular season 19-11. The Lady Rebels will play in the semifinals of Sectional 45 at Southwestern on Saturday, October 13 around 12:30 pm after receiving the first round bye.”

JV Match

We thank coaches Johnson and Skvara for the match report.
