Greensburg- The Batesville junior varsity cruised into North Decatur to play the Chargers and cruised away with a win in two games 25-14 and 25-11.
Some of the Batesville stat leaders included Maddi Oesterling with three kills and seven good hits, Chelsey Paul with five solid hits and Morgan Dreyer with six aces.
Reserve coach Amy Maple emphasized the great team performance.
“Our passes were great which allowed Morgan Dreyer to set up plays for our front row.” said Maple. “Maddi Giesting and Maggie Adams both gave a great defensive effort. Rylee Goldsmith had some great digs. Alyssa Dudley contributed to the serving game. Sam Kirschner came in and gave us a few good passes and serves to help contribute to the win and Erin Walsh contributed a few good hits. The more we play, the more like a team we look. I am very proud of the team for staying in the game and running as many plays as we did.”
Batesville will host Rushville in freshman, reserve and varsity play on Tuesday starting at 5 pm. North Decatur will be out of action until next Thursday when they will play at Knightstown. The reserves will go first at 6 pm.
