Manchester- Aurora’s fifth and sixth grade “White” teams both posted wins at Manchester Thursday.
AES won the fifth grade game 20-2 utilizing a good transition game.
Brooklyn Halbig, Alyssa McClanahan and Brooke Huddleston each scored six for Aurora. Emily Griffen scored the two for the Shiners.
The sixth grade game wasn’t decided until the fourth quarter. Manchester outscored Aurora White 10-2 in the first half. Aurora posted eight unanswered points in the third to tie the game at 10 heading into the fourth.
With the scored knotted at 12, Danielle Clark hit one of two free throws with a minute left. The charity toss proved to be the game winner as AES won 13-12.
Clark and Madison Fentress both scored four in the win. Brooklyn Cromer bucketed four for Manchester.
