Madison 3, South Dearborn 2

The following is an unedited girls varsity tennis report from South Dearborn coach Jason Krause.  We thank him for the report.

The Knights traveled down to Madison, but came up short in a 2-3 loss to the Cubs. Madison Fentress played well against Kourtney Neukam winning 6-0, 6-2. Number two singles player Sydney Yoe couldn’t get in a groove and lost 1-6, 1-6 against Regin Dean. Number three singles player Ashley Stevenson had troubles as well as she dropped both sets to the score of 1-6 to Olivia Kelley.

In doubles play number one doubles team of Brooklyn Cromer and Emily Seward played well, battled a tough duo of Hannah Huff and Grace Brautigam and took the match 6-2, 7-5. Number two doubles duo of Danielle Martini and Brooklyn Halbig played well for being their first time together this season, but eventually lost 2-6, 2-6 to Emma Lostetter and Destinee Saoler.

In junior varsity action; Kelsie Jackson and Madalynn Couch lost their doubles match. In singles play Reagan Stevenson and Madalynn Couch both lost to their opponent.
