The following is an unedited girls varsity tennis report from South Dearborn coach Jason Krause.  We thank him for the report.

South Dearborn hosted the Bulldogs of Batesville, the visiting team left with a 4-1 victory. The loss dropped the Knights’ record to 0-7 and 0-5 in conference play. Picking up the lone win for the Knights was number one singles player Madison Fentress, who played a great match and won 6-2, 6-0 against Rachel Rose. Number two singles player Sydney Yoe lost 1-6, 0-6 to Audrey Weigel. Number three singles player Ashley Stevenson lost 2-6, 2-6 to Sophie Brown. In doubles play, Brooklyn Cromer and Emily Seward lost 0-6, 1-6 to Baylee Rohlfing and Corinne Stone at number one. Number two duo of Lacey Horn and Danielle Martini lost 0-6, 3-6 to Jenna Ertel and Betsy Harmeyer.

Batesville information was not available.

In junior varsity action, Hailey Brandt and Madalynn Counch both lost at singles. In doubles play; Brooklyn Halbig and Kelsie Jackson picked up the victory. Anjul Cash and Annie Brown were defeated.
