This was Shawe’s first loss of the season.

Oldenburg coach Mark Wilder: “This was a good win against a Shawe team that had not lost a match all year. Coach Sims has done a great job with his girls getting them to play solid tennis. We are starting to play our best at the right time before post season play. We celebrated senior night by recognizing Margaret Glaser. Margaret is our true leader and and has meant a lot to OA tennis for 4 years. She will finish her career as the 3rd all-time winningest player at OA and has been a part of two semi state teams.”

Shawe coach Steve Sims: “Despite the team loss, I am extremely proud. They faced some obstacles we haven’t seen all year and were able to keep fighting to the end. Some scores are closer than they seem. There were a lot of close games and long points. We did not quit and hung in there with a very good team. I think this was a great test for us heading into sectional.”

SEI Local Sports thanks coaches Wilder and Sims for the match information.
