Greensburg 2nd at own Sectional; McCreary, Carmony advance

Girls Varsity Golf, Greensburg Sectional at Greensburg Country Club- Saturday, September 15

Top 3 teams qualify for the Lapel Regional.  Top 3, lowest scoring individuals not on an advancing team also qualify for the regional Saturday, September 22 at Edgewood Golf Club.

Advancing teams places/scores: Columbus North 1/322, Greensburg 2/336, Columbus East 3/388.

Other local team places/scores: Batesville 4/394, Rushville 5/399, East Central 6/418, Milan 8/483, Jac-Cen-Del 10/565, Oldenburg (no team score).

Individual Champion: Nathaly Munnicha of Columbus North, 75.  Greensburg’s Claire Dennett was second with 78.

Greensburg individual scores (advancing team): Claire Dennett 78, Kennedy McCullough 83, Maddy Wickens 85, Rachel Nobbe 90 and Ellie Acra with 96.

Local golfers who qualified for regional as individuals: Meredith McCreary of Batesville with 80 and Madyson Carmony of Rushville with 86
