Lawrenceburg 58, Milan 33

Lawrenceburg- After not playing a game for a week, the Lawrenceburg’s offense started sluggishly Saturday at home against Milan.  The Lady Tigers got things going in the third quarter, scoring 15 consecutive points to turn a one possession game into a double digit lead.  LHS defeated Milan 58-33.

Lawrenceburg led 9-6 at the end of the first quarter. Macey Radenheimer scored four points on a pair of field goals and teammate Tristyn Dennis hit a trifecta.  Nicole Tuttle, Courtney Bruns, and Makayla O’Brien each scored field goals for Milan.

The Tigers scored the first nine points of the second quarter to take their first double digit lead of the game.  Makenna White ended the run with a long ball.  Milan trailed by 11 with less than a minute left in the half but was able to close the gap.  Nicole Tuttle scored and was fouled.  While she missed the free throw, the Indians secured the offensive rebound.  Courtney Bruns then hit a bomb to give the Tribe a quick 5-point burst and send the game to the half with Lawrenceburg leading 22-16.

O’Brien made 1 of 2 free throws and Bruns added her second triple of the game to open the third quarter to bring Milan to within two, 22-20.  But that’s when the LHS offense finally kicked in. Justice Chambers started a 15-0 run for the hosts with a trey.  By the end of the period, the Tigers enjoyed a 44-26 advantage.  Juliana Kemper scored nine in the quarter for Lawrenceburg while Radenheimer matched her first half total with six additional points.

The Tigers lead peaked at 26 in the fourth before ending with the 25-point victory to improved their season record to 8-0.  Milan slipped back to .500 at 4-4.  Bruns led Milan in scoring with 13 points while Tuttle finished with 9.

SEI Local Sports congratulates Lawrenceburg’s Juliana Kemper and Macey Radenheimer for being named our co-Whitewater Motor Company Players of the Game.  Kemper led all scorers with 18 points. Radenheimer finished with 13.
