Versailles- The Southeastern Indiana Running Club is excited to announce that 17 area youth members recently qualified for the National Junior Olympics through their performances at the J.O. Regional in Carmel.
The harriers will now travel to Myrtle Beach, SC on Decemeber 8. Opening ceremonies will be on December 9 and the National Junior Olympic meet is Saturday, December 10.
Coach Jim Cole of Versailles thinks the SIRC runners will do well.
Intermediate team runners:
- Trent Barnett, Nick Vodzak and Garrett Yorn- Batesville
- Garrett Craig and Briar Miller- Rising Sun
- Ethan Davies and Joe Rector- South Dearborn
- Austin Allen- South Ripley
Unattached (no division assigned) runners:
- Megan Cole (club’s youngest runner), Isabella Gramaglia, Miranda Ryle- South Ripley
Young team runners:
- Hayden Merkel- Batesville
- Alan Apsley- Franklin County
- Billy McNicholas- Jennings County
- Jacob Boles, Zach Raab and Cody Sexton- South Ripley
