The game appeared to be headed to a scoreless first half. But with under 2 minutes left before the break, the Tigers earned a throw in deep in Batesville territory. Ben Lorey threw the ball half way across the field into the box in front of the Bulldog goal. Adam Cosby was able to get a head on the ball and found the back of the net to put the Tigers up 1-0.

The score stayed at 1-0 well into the second half. At the 10:38 mark, Dylan Maupin sent a crossing pass across the front of the Batesville goal. Max Reinshagen was waiting and sent a shot between the pipes to make it 2-0 Tigers.

The Tiger defense and keeper Zach Kozlowski did the rest. Kozlowski recorded the shutout as he saved 5 shots on goal by Batesville. He was named a co-Whitewater Motor Company player of the match.

The other Whitewater Motor Company Player of the Match was Tiger teammate Ben Lorey. The midfielder controlled the ball throughout the match and his ability to throw the ball deep into the box on throw ins allowed the Tigers a big advantage as they outshot the Bulldogs 17-7.
