Oldenburg’s Kenny Getz- “Oldenburg ended its regular season with a 1-0 win at Richmond. OA’s record for the season 10-2-2. The game was dominated by the Twisters with a 26-1 shots advantage and possession.  Give credit to Richmond.  They had a plan to put eight in the box and hold our offensive scoring down. It worked as we were only able to muster one goal. We had a boatload of chances. We talked before the game about how important it is to warm up the proper way. Warm ups should be game speed. We didn’t do this as a team and we played like it in the first half. We talked at halftime, adjusted and played much better. On to sectionals starting on Monday at Southwestern Shelby. Game is 5 pm.”

Oldenburg’s Mike Wilhelm (asst. coach)- “Oldenburg’s Gariott Scott scored in period 1 at 22:58 on a great head shot. He was assisted by Adam Huber’s pass into the 18.  The Twisters had 26 shots with 8 on goal, 1 offsides, 5 fouls, 12 corner kicks, 1 hand ball and Chris Hautman had 1 save.”

“Richmond had 1 shot in the first period and it was on goal. No shots in the second period. They had 1 offsides, 3 fouls, 1 corner, 2 hand balls and their keeper had 7 saves.”
