Edited match summary from Greensburg coach Cody DeVolld: “It was Senior Night and the Pirates honored Trevin White, Chase Springmeyer and David Santiago for their contributions to the Greensburg soccer program. The first half was a very defensive half for the Pirates as their high intensity and marking in the middle of the field limited Connersville to two goals. The Pirates got several chances to score with Joseph Pacilio leading the attack.  It was 2-0 at halftime.”

“Greensburg allowed three goals within the first 20 minutes of the second half to push the score to 5-0. But Santiago gave the home fans something to cheer about, scoring off of an assist from Nicholas Zapfe. The goal was Santiago’s third of the season.  Pacilio finished with six shots on goal, Zapfe had two while Santiago and Collin Springmeyer finished with one each.  Connersville won 6-1. The Pirates again thank the seniors and their families for contributions to the program over the years.”

SEI Local Sports thanks coach Mike Bottomley from Connersville and Cody DeVolld of Greensburg for the match information.
