Franklin County 9, Greensburg 4

Thursday, September 7 at Franklin County

Boys Varsity Soccer

Franklin County 9, Greensburg 4

It was 4-0 Franklin County at halftime.

Franklin County coach Dan Gartenman: “The Wildcats lit up the scoreboard with nine goals. Cledith Martin led the way with four.  Zach Hedges had two while Tommy Ratz, Grant Suding and Spencer Catron also contributed to the big team win.”

Greensburg coach Cody DeVolld: “Greensburg allowed four Wildcat goals in the first 18 minutes. The rest of the half, we picked up the intensity and shut out the Wildcats.   The second half, the Pirates again allowed a couple of goals within the first several minutes of the half, but were able to pick it up offensively in the last 25 minutes. Nicholas Zapfe scored his first goal of the year off the assist from Vincent Pavy. Joseph Pacilio registered his second hat trick of the season.  Two of the three goals were unassisted and the other was assisted by Pavy. Other standouts for the Pirates were Collin Springmeyer who registered five shots as a defender and Trevor Lee who played solid defense.”

SEI Local Sports thanks coaches Gartenman and DeVolld for the match information.
