Henryville- No local teams advanced out of the Providence Boys Golf Regional Thursday held at Champions Pointe Golf Club in Henryville. However, Madison’s Jordan Griffith will move on to the state tournament after claiming the regional medalist title with a three-under-par 69.
The closest local team to qualify was Madison which finished fourth. The Cubs 312 was behind the 293 winning score posted by 293, a 294 from runner up Floyd Central and the third place 306 from host Providence.
Among the 12-team field, Batesville was 10th with 341 and East Central was 11th with 350.
