Lawrenceburg jumped out quickly as Evan Pennington netted a pair of trifectas in the opening quarter.  Mitch McCool added another long ball for the Tigers as they went up nine, 13-4.  Oldenburg called time out then scored the final six points of the quarter (four by Owen Sporleder) to trail 13-10.

A three by Nate Folop gave OA its first lead since 2-0.  Zach Mollaun answered for Lawrenceburg with his second deep ball of the quarter to put Lawrenceburg ahead 21-19 at the half.

Owen Sporleder added another four points to his total in the second stanza to give him eight at the break.  Pennington and Mollaun each had six in the opening half for Lawrenceburg with all points coming from beyond the arc.

Pennington’s third trifecta opened the scoring in the second half and put the visitors up by five.  Oldenburg countered with a quick 5-0 run, punctuated by an “and one” by Eli Sporleder, to tie the game at 24.  The two teams traded leads to close out the third.  Oldenburg was ahead 29-28 at the stop.

Gavin Yoon, the Tigers leading scorer at 17 points per game, had just two points during the first three quarters.  He erupted in the fourth, hitting four times from beyond the arc for 12 of the Tigers 16 points.  After missing all three of its 3-point attempts in the third, Oldenburg’s Owen Sporleder connected twice and Jake Johnson struck once from long distance in the fourth.
