Batesville- The final game of the boys EIAC freshman tournament was a close one. Played at Batesville on Thursday, East Central held off the host Bulldogs 41-39.
East Central led 13-9 after the opening quarter and by one at halftime, 22-21. The Trojans posted a 32-29 slim lead after the third period then held on for the two point win.
Top scorers for East Central: Schuman 12, Hoog 8.
Scoring for Batesville (10-7): Blake Walsman 15, Evan Blanken 11, Jacob Vogelsang 9, Bo Kaiser 2 and Austin Prickel 2.
