Rushville 7, South Dearborn 3

The following is an unedited report from South Dearborn’s Brad Fentress:

The Knights evened up their conference record at 1-1 with a 7-3 loss to Rushville. Brady Fentress opened the scoring for SD with a bases loaded single to plate 2 runs in the second inning. Unfortunately that was the only 2 RBI’s the Knights would get as they left 9 runners on base throughout the game and only scored a late run on a wild pitch. Adam Dixon had 2 solid hits, including a double. Tristan Rinehart also doubled. Other SD batters adding one hit each, all singles, were Kasey McCabe, Ethan Getz, Trey Thies, Kane Curry and Jake Black.

RU 0 1 3 2 0 1 0 – 7R 11H 1E
SD 0 2 0 0 1 0 0 – 3R 9H 2E

Rushville information:

Rushville’s Tyler Wilson and Zach Hoeing both had three hits and an RBI.  Wilson had one double.  Cameron Craig tripled with an RBI and scored twice. Wilson was Lions’ winning pitcher going three innings with five strikeouts, two walks, six hits and two runs allowed (none earned).

SEI Local Sports thanks Brad Fentress of South Dearborn and also Rushville Baseball for the game information.
