Submit Spring Sports Senior Athletes Of The Year

Thank you for taking a moment of your valuable time to recognize one or more of your SENIOR athletes as a Spring Sports Senior Athlete of the Year candidate.  It means a great deal to your athletes when you publicly recognize them for a job well done.  This special edition focuses exclusively on senior athletes and their overall accomplishments in their respective sports.

Summary guidelines:

  • Submissions must be sent using the form below.
  • All submissions received by the midnight Friday, June 14 deadline will be posted sometime on Monday, June 17.
  • There is no limit on the number of senior submissions for any one team or school.
  • Coaches and athletic directors can submit a senior athlete for any reason they deem deserving of recognition.  All submissions will be published.
  • Two senior athletes per gender from both the ORVC/Independent and EIAC conferences (eight total) will receive special recognition as Spring Sports Senior Athletes of the Year as selected by a 7-member committee. Oldenburg (a state independent) is included with the ORVC because of its similar size.
  • Weighted criteria for voting is as follows: 1st) athlete’s accomplishments during his/her senior year in their spring sport; 2nd) athlete’s career accomplishments during his/her spring sport; 3rd) athlete’s accomplishments in other sports, academics, plus participation in other school and community activities.
  • To minimize the possibility of bias, the committee does not see names of players, coaches or schools affiliated with or competing against.
  • Because some sports are not recognized by the ORVC and EIAC as conference sports, athletes who participate in such sports will still be eligible under their school’s ORVC/Independent or EIAC affiliation.

Please fill out the short form below.  Again, you are welcome to submit more than one athlete; however, submit each one separately unless it is for a relay team in swimming/track, a doubles team in tennis, a position group, group by grade or full team.  This helps in organizing and editing the submissions.  (*Indicates required information.)  Thanks again for your time.
