ATHLETES OF THE WEEK- BOYS’ CROSS COUNTRY

Todd Menchhofer of Jac-Cen-Del

  • Level/Sport: Varsity Boys Cross Country
  • Athlete’s year/position: Sophomore
  • Submitted by: David Bradshaw
  • Submitter’s position: Head Coach
  • Athlete’s accomplishments: TJ had a personal best at the JCD Invite. At the Southwestern and JCD Invitationals, he had a strong showing.
  • Submitter’s personal comments: TJ has been working extremely hard and his hard work is starting to produce dividends for him.

Andrew Johnson of Greensburg

  • Level/Sport: Varsity Boys Cross Country
  • Athlete’s year/position: Freshman
  • Submitted by: Troy Davis
  • Submitter’s position: Head Coach
  • Athlete’s accomplishments: Andrew was Greensburg’s 4th finisher at the Eagle Classic. He ran a time of 20:52 and placed 62nd in the AA Varsity race.

Damian Sailor of Franklin County

  • Level/Sport: Junior Varsity Boys Cross Country
  • Athlete’s year/position: Sophomore
  • Submitted by: Stacey Nobbe
  • Submitter’s position: Head Coach
  • Athlete’s accomplishments: Damian joined our team as a new runner. He recently completed his first 5K race, and the fact that he finished in 50 minutes says a lot about his never give up attitude. In his next race, he completed it 5 minutes faster. Running is not easy for him, but he works hard and gets better at each meet.
  • Submitter’s personal comments: Damian is a very hard worker who gives his best at each practice. He encourages others to do their best, too.

Chris Berkemeier of Greensburg

  • Level/Sport: Junior Varsity Boys Cross Country
  • Athlete’s year/position: Freshman

  • Athlete’s accomplishments: Chris ran 24:29 and finished 148th in the reserve race at Brown County.
