I’m Bryce Kendrick, President of SEI Local Sports. I have been covering and supporting youth athletics in various capacities since I first picked up a p.a. microphone in 1980.
I’ve done public address or live play-by-play for around 2500 sporting events. I’ve also been a sports director, writer, broadcast coordinator and tournament director plus a coach, referee/umpire and league advisor for multiple sports.
Those who know me understand how passionate I am about youth athletics. While I was an average athlete while in school, I really enjoyed competing and nothing felt better than when I was recognized for a job well done.
That’s what this site is all about…recognizing the efforts and achievements of as many young area athletes as possible on a daily basis. I want them to feel as good as I did each time I got a pat on the back.
Since the site went live on August 15, 2010, we have published over 11,000 stories (as of May 31, 2015). We have also webcast over 600 sporting events.
For our collective efforts, the site received a distinguished media award in the summer of 2014 from the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association. In April 2015, the site received the Virgil Sweet Distinguished Media Award from the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association. We are honored and blessed to have been recognized for the work we love to do.
These awards I share with those who make what I do possible: the coaches (or their designees) and athletic directors who take their valuable time to send information we turn into stories and assist us during live webcasts; our great group of sponsors who financially support our quest to be a positive voice in the youth sports community; my sportscasters who share my passion and philosophy of presenting live sporting events in a positive and balanced format; and to all of our readers and viewers who consume our product on a daily basis.
Thank you for your interest in SEI Local Sports. Please share our website with your friends and family. We also invite you to follow us on Facebook and Twitter (@seilocalsports).
